The historical society will be offering four craft workshops where each child can take home the crafts they make. The society will also have areas set-up for a variety of 19th century games from graces, pick-up sticks, and Jacob’s ladder. The Oneida Public Library will be organizing a game of croquet—a very popular recreational game during the Victorian era and still enjoyed today. Dance students from the Bogardus Performing Arts Center of Oneida will perform a period dance during the afternoon. Mary Jeanne Bialas and Sterling Oddo will have their Victorian Whispers Vintage Photo Studio available for family pictures. They will be offering 20 free family photos for the first 20 families that become members of the historical society at the event. Additional sittings will also be available.
This is one event you do not want to miss. It will be held rain or shine July 14 from 1-3 pm. The event is free and open to the public. For more information please contact the society at 315.363.4136, 315.361.9735, firstname.lastname@example.org, or www. mchs1900.org.
