This Labor Day Weekend, escape to one of Madison County’s parks!

Enjoy the natural setting and tranquility Oxbow Falls Park! Located at 6919 Oxbow Road in the Town of Lincoln, you can enjoy a game of softball or test your Frisbee skills on the 18-Hole Disc Golf Course.  Feel like relaxing? Then have a picnic in a pavilion or at one of the numerous picnic sites with tables and grills. If you want to stretch your legs some more, enjoy the park’s 125 acres that are home to woodlands, streams, a 100-foot waterfall, and miles of hiking trails. And be sure to take in the park’s panoramic view that stretches across the Oneida Lake Plain to Lake Ontario.

Explore the 45 acres of forest and wetlands at Nichols Pond Park, located at 5797 Nichols Pond Road in the Town of Fenner. The park’s nature trails offer the opportunity for a brisk hike and a sprawling observation deck overlooks the wetlands. Be sure to read the interpretive signs along the way. You can also learn about the park’s history. Not only is it the site of an Oneida Indian Village it’s also recognized as the site of the 1615 Champlain-Oneida Battleground.

We were just there today. A little disappointed with all the empty beer bottles at every hole.
