Ranger Susan will present "The Beecher’s Trilobite Bed", a look at the unique fossil history of Central New York. Make a fossil rubbing of a Giant Trilobite to add to your collection. Discover fossils and how they happen on the Road to Fossilization. Learn by examining real fossils and casts of the Mammoths and saber-tooth cats of Central New York.
Each child receives a fossil, fossil ID guide, makes a fossil rubbing, and a NPS Junior Ranger Paleontology badge.
The Great Swamp Conservancy is located on North Main Street, three miles north of the village of Canastota. Suggested donation for admission to the Great Halloween Fun Day is $3.00 per child, ages 12 and under. Anyone accompanied by a child is free. Kids always have fun at the Great Swamp Conservancy.
