Fortunately “Just Cruise-In 2012” evaded the scattered rain showers on Sunday, September 30th. However, several of the 54 participants drove through rain showers making their way to the Madison County Fairgrounds for “Just Cruise-In” which is held in conjunction with Wheel Days. These hardy car enthusiasts were rewarded for braving the unpleasant weather conditions with dash plaques, goodie bags, and nearly everyone took home one of the fantastic hourly give away prizes, thanks to the generosity of our wonderful sponsors.
The vehicles fortunate enough to accumulate the most votes were rewarded with trophies. The Best of Show trophy winner was a 1953 Buick Road Master owned by Ken & Carol Sheets of Barneveld.
First place in the Driver’s Choice division was awarded to a 1934 Chevy 1940 Mack Pickup Rat Rod owned by Pete Wilcox of Oriskany Falls; the second place winner was a 1970 Plymouth Duster owned by Terry & Denise Johnson of Earlville.
A 1952 M38A1 Jeep owned by Bob Snyder of West Edmeston captured first place in the People’s choice division and second place was awarded to a 1951 Ford Pickup Rat Rod owned by Mike Miller of Blossvale. This year’s Sponsor Choice winner was a 1951 Mercury Town Sedan owned by Al Hauser, Richfield Springs.
The “Just Cruise-In” Pit Crew would like to thank all of our generous sponsors and participants for making this event possible, your time and effort are truly appreciated.
