Boy it was hot in Brookfield this afternoon, but the 171st Madison County Fair opened and it looks bigger and better than ever. The crowd was welcomed by town supervisor John Salka and Assemblyman Bill Magee. This year a new and improved midway, along with the return of the beer tent are expected to help boost attendance at the event. The fair costs $2 to get in and runs through Sunday.
