The leaves are starting to change colors in Madison County and there are some great places to go this weekend to enjoy it. As the nights start to cool off further the change will kick into high gear. A couple of points of interest. The drive along NYS Route 13 between Cazenovia and the top of Chittenango Falls State Park is spectaular right now. There are a lot of oranges and reds and the drive itself along Chittenango Creek is well worth it. Also, in the southern part of Madison County in areas such as Brookfield, Georgetown and DeRuyter are showing areas of nice color change. County-wide the leaves are at 25% of peak color, in come pockets it is pushing closer to 50%. Enjoy the weekend and beautiful fall landscape that comes with it!
