Jazz `N Caz 2008 will fill the village of Cazenovia with music from Thursday, Sept. 11 to the wee hours of Saturday, Sept. 13, at the Brae Loch Inn and at the Catherine Cummings Theatre at Cazenovia College.  All performances are free; however a $10 donation is suggested for performances in the theatre.  You can get a printable schedule here.

The weekend will kick off at the Brae Loch Inn, 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept 11 with the Latin Jazz of DaFloJo Tette.

Friday, Sept. 12 , Jazz`N Caz begins at 6 p.m. at the Catherine Cummings Theatre at Cazenovia College, on the Time Warner Mainstage, with pianist and composer Noah Kellman and trumpeter Nick Frenay, who will warm the stage for the Brubeck Brothers Quartet, and will join them for the opening numbers of their 7 p.m. set.

The Morgan Street Stompers will play Dixieland at 8:45 p.m., and the evening will wind down with Jimmy Johnson at 10:30 p.m. backed by the local group, the DeLinquents.

At 11:30 p.m., music moves to Seven Stone Steps at the Lincklaen House for Jazz after Hours.

Saturday, Sept. 13 , Jazz ` N Caz begins at 5 p.m. at the Catherine Cummings Theatre with performances by the Cazenovia High School Vocal Ensemble, and the Cazenovia High School Jazz Ensemble.

The Jane Monheit Quartet takes the stage at 7:30 p.m.   Trumpeter Jon-Erik Kellso takes the stage at 9 p.m., with Neal Miner on bass, Matt Munisteri on guitar and vocals, and John Allred on trombone.

On Saturday night at 11 p.m., the music moves to Seven Stone Steps at the Lincklaen House for a Jazz after Hours jam session that will send the fans home with dreams of next year's Jazz ` N Caz

Does that mean they'll be chargin' 40 bucks to use THEIR Rt. 20 to get in ????

They never have and never will charge to use route 20. It is the FREE East - West route through NYS.

This is pretty much yuppie entertainment for the Libs/Dems that have filtered into the area. The ones that drive around in arrogant-looking mini coopers and have a lot of time on their hands

I'm not sure what political affiliation has to do with tourism. Liberal money is just as green as conservative money.
