This year Madison County Tourism decided to host its first annual photo contest.  We are happy today to announce the winners in the three categories for this year.  The categories were Kids 5-12, Teens 13-19 and Adults.  Winners for each category were determined by a panel of Madison County Tourism members.  First and Second place we chosen for each category.  A grand prize winner was then selected from all of the category winners.  The lucky grand prize winner gets a hot air balloon flight with Airborne Adventures of Munnsville and and overnight with dinner for two at the Brae Loch Inn in Cazenovia.  Plus as our winner of the adult category, he gets an overnight at the Oneida Community Mansion House in Oneida.   Without further ado here are your winners:

Photo Contest 10/26/2009
 
Thank you to all who have been patiently waiting for the photo contest winners.  We will be judging them this week and announcing winners soon.  We apologize for the delay, we wanted to ensure that due to a technical error, that we did get a chance to see all entries.
 
 

You could have your favorite photos of Madison County published in the 2010 travel guide or used on the website promoting all things Madison County.  Madison County Tourism announced details of its 2009 photo contest today and encouraged photographers of all ages and abilities to enter.

The contest is being sponsored by the Brae Loch Inn in Cazenovia and Airborne Adventures of Munnsville.  It is the first time that Madison County Tourism has run a photo contest.  “We are looking for photos from all corners of the county,” said Madison County Tourism executive director Jim Walter.  “This is one of the most beautiful places in the northeast, and we have wonderful photographers who live here.  We’d like the opportunity for them to help us tell the story of this area to visitors.”

The contest runs from March 1-September 30th and will award prizes in four categories.  The categories are ages 5-12, 13-19 and adults, plus a category for the best digitally enhanced photo.  Prizes available to win include:
            Dinner for two and an overnight stay at 
            the Brae Loch Inn in Cazenovia
            A hot air balloon ride from Airborne
            Adventures in Munnsville
            An overnight stay at the Oneida
            Community Mansion House
            Gift certificates to merchants in the village
            of Cazenovia
            Gift certificate to Ye Olde Landmark
